Sales & Field Marketing Executive (Iron & Steel Industry)

Role Overview :

Responsible for driving sales, developing new customers, and promoting iron and steel products (like TMT bars, coils, sheets, structural steel) through field visits, dealer networks, and direct client engagement.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Sales & Business Development Identify and develop new customers (contractors, builders, fabricators, infrastructure companies).
  • Promote and sell products such as TMT bars, MS rods, steel sheets, pipes, etc.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Generate inquiries and convert leads into orders.
  • 2. Field Marketing ActivitiesConduct regular site visits (construction sites, factories, warehouses).
  • Build relationships with dealers, distributors, and retailers.
  • Organize product demonstrations and awareness activities.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and market trends.
  • 3. Client Relationship ManagementMaintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and after-sales service.
  • Ensure timely delivery coordination with logistics and production teams.
  • 4. Market IntelligenceTrack demand in sectors like construction, infrastructure, and manufacturing.
  • Provide feedback on pricing, customer preferences, and competitor activity.
  • Suggest strategies to improve market penetration.
  • 5. Reporting & DocumentationPrepare daily visit reports (DVR), sales reports, and forecasts.
  • Maintain customer database and sales pipeline.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for order processing and billing.
  • Required SkillsStrong communication and negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of steel products and market dynamics
  • Ability to travel extensively (field job)
  • Relationship-building and networking ability
