Job Description
Zenia Hospitality is looking for a skilled and dependable Chef for Azad Café, located at Zephyr by Zenia, Patna.
The chef will be responsible for preparing consistently good food, maintaining kitchen hygiene, controlling wastage and helping us develop Azad Café into a popular neighbourhood café and hotel dining outlet.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Indian, Chinese, Continental and Café-style food
- Breakfast preparation including eggs, sandwiches, pancakes and similar items
- Prepare pasta, noodles, snacks, starters and main-course dishes
- Maintain consistent taste, presentation and portion sizes
- Manage food preparation and daily mise-en-place
- Maintain excellent kitchen cleanliness and food-safety standards
- Monitor stock and inform management about purchasing requirements
- Minimise food wastage and control portion costs
- Properly store and label ingredients
- Handle hotel guest food orders and café orders
- Coordinate with service and hotel staff during busy periods
- Help develop new dishes and improve the café menu
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef / Cook / Commis in a hotel, café or restaurant preferred
- Multi-cuisine experience is an advantage
- Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food handling
- Should be punctual, disciplined and able to work independently
- Must maintain consistent food quality
- Candidates with strong practical cooking skills are welcome even without formal hotel-management qualifications
