About the RoleNOUVEAU is looking for qualified and experienced Architects who can independently handle architectural planning, interior designing, technical documentation and project coordination. The candidate will work on government, institutional, commercial, residential and interior design projects at different stages—from initial concept development to Good for Construction drawings and execution support.
Candidates with strong design abilities, technical knowledge, software proficiency and the ability to coordinate with clients, consultants and site teams will be preferred.
- Key ResponsibilitiesArchitectural Design and PlanningPrepare architectural concepts, space plans, layouts and design presentations.
- Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, working drawings and detailed drawings.
- Prepare designs in accordance with client requirements, site conditions and applicable building regulations.
- Assist in preparing feasibility studies, area statements, design briefs and project reports.
- Work on residential, commercial, institutional, government and mixed-use projects.
- Incorporate client feedback and revise drawings within the approved scope of work.
- Interior DesigningDevelop interior design concepts, themes, mood boards and material palettes.
- Prepare furniture layouts, ceiling plans, flooring layouts, lighting layouts and wall elevations.
- Design modular furniture, fixed furniture, partitions, counters, wardrobes, kitchens and other interior elements.
- Prepare detailed interior working drawings and execution drawings.
- Select and recommend finishes, furniture, fixtures, sanitary fittings, lighting and decorative elements.
- Prepare material specifications, finish schedules and presentation sheets.
- Coordinate interior design requirements with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting and other services.
- Support the execution team in resolving interior-related site issues.
- Working Drawings and DocumentationPrepare detailed architectural and interior working drawings.
- Develop tender drawings, construction drawings and Good for Construction drawings.
- Prepare door-window schedules, finish schedules, toilet details, staircase details and other construction details.
- Ensure that drawings are accurate, coordinated and suitable for execution.
- Maintain proper drawing numbering, revision records, issue registers and project documentation.
- Assist in preparing BOQs, technical specifications, estimates and tender documents.
- Prepare drawings and documents required for client presentations, approvals and submissions.
- 3D Visualisation and PresentationDevelop 3D models, rendered views and walkthrough inputs where required.
- Prepare presentation boards, design proposals and client presentation documents.
- Convert conceptual ideas into clear visual and technical presentations.
- Coordinate with visualisers or independently prepare 3D views depending on project requirements.
- Project and Consultant CoordinationCoordinate architectural drawings with structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting, landscape and other consultant drawings.
- Identify drawing clashes, design inconsistencies and missing information before execution.
- Coordinate with clients, project heads, consultants, vendors, contractors and site teams.
- Attend project review meetings and maintain records of design decisions and action points.
- Follow up on required drawings, approvals, technical inputs and project deliverables.
- Ensure that assigned work is completed within the agreed timelines.
- Site Coordination and Execution SupportConduct site visits whenever assigned by the organisation.
- Verify site dimensions and existing conditions before finalising drawings.
- Check whether execution is being carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Clarify drawings and provide technical support to site supervisors and contractors.
- Identify deviations, design conflicts and workmanship issues and report them to the concerned project authority.
- Prepare site visit reports, snag lists and revised drawings where required.
- Coordinate sample approvals, mock-ups, material selections and finishing details.
- Assist in resolving technical and design-related issues during construction and interior execution.
- Approval and Submission SupportPrepare drawings and documents required for building plan approval and other technical submissions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building bye-laws, development control regulations, NBC provisions and project-specific guidelines.
- Assist in form preparation and technical documentation for statutory submissions.
- Incorporate observations received from clients, authorities or reviewing consultants.
- Maintain records of submitted and approved drawings.
- Quality and Time ManagementReview drawings before submission to minimise technical errors.
- Ensure consistency between architectural, interior and service drawings.
- Maintain quality standards in design, presentation and documentation.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Report project progress, pending requirements and possible delays to the reporting authority.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Minimum EligibilityDiploma in Architecture or Architectural Assistantship from a recognised institution is mandatory.
- Bachelor of Architecture—B.Arch—is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year and up to 8 years of relevant professional experience in architecture, interior design or architectural consultancy.
- Candidates should have practical experience in preparing architectural and interior working drawings.
Preferred Technical SkillsCandidates should be proficient in:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- Revit or other BIM software
- Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray or similar rendering software
- Adobe Photoshop
- Microsoft Office
Knowledge of CorelDRAW, Illustrator, 3ds Max, quantity estimation or project management software will be an added advantage.
