About us:

Subko is committed to an ideal: to help reimagine, re-design. and re-invent an unlikely origin- the Indian Subcontinent--as a legitimate contributor to the global specialty coffee, craft baking and pod-to-bar chocolate making movements. Only raw materials enter Subko’s facilities: all of the coffee, bakehouse and cacao products are crafted from scratch, in house. From crop to cup, pod to bar, and farm to table. We aim to provide a detailed, high quality coffee, bake and chocolate experience to all our guests.

About the job:

We are searching for an experienced and energetic Barista to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is passionate about the food and beverage industry and enjoys working with people. The Barista plays a key role in our energetic team of food and beverage enthusiasts who are driven to provide excellent customer service. You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a fun atmosphere where both customers and employees have a great experience that’s welcoming and engaging.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Understanding the basics of all company coffees (roast level and flavor notes)
• Maintaining a fast speed of service, especially during rush times and high peak season.
• Develop sufficient knowledge on the list of products and offerings and effectively and accurately communicate it to customers
• Prepare all beverages according to customer requirements within the prescribed time frame
• Able to suggest beverages, roasts and equipment based on customer’s requirement
• Ensures cleanliness at the station and café in general during each shift
• Respond to guest questions, concerns and complaints and make sure they leave satisfied
• Follow all café safety and security procedures and arrive on time for all shifts and stay until shift completion
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Comply with health and safety regulations

Required Skills:

• Min 1 year previous work experience as a Barista 
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Strong customer service skills.
• Relevant training is a plus
