QC Incharge

Position Title – QC In-charge (FMCG)

• Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day quality control activities across the manufacturing unit.
• Inspect and approve/reject incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products as per specifications.
• Conduct and supervise physical, chemical, microbiological and sensory testing, as applicable.
• Monitor in-process quality parameters and ensure compliance with approved SOPs and specifications.
• Maintain and review QC records, test reports, COAs, inspection reports, and batch documentation.
• Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, non-conformities, and product failures and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with Production, R&D, Stores, Purchase, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure proper sampling, testing, retention samples, and release of finished batches.
• Monitor hygiene, sanitation, GMP, GHP and other food-safety requirements within the plant.
• Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
• Maintain laboratory chemicals, reagents, glassware, standards, and testing materials.
• Conduct internal inspections and quality audits and support external/customer/regulatory audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, ISO and other relevant standards, depending on the product category.
• Train QC staff and production personnel on quality standards, SOPs, hygiene and food-safety practices.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports and MIS for management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, defect reduction and quality-cost reduction.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all quality-related activities.
