Job Description
- Source and procure raw materials, packaging materials, engineering items, and indirect purchases.
- Develop and maintain relationships with approved suppliers and identify new vendors for cost optimization.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely follow-up until material delivery.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, R&D, and Accounts for procurement requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases based on reorder levels.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, pricing, and service.
- Ensure all purchased materials comply with technical specifications and quality requirements.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor database, purchase reports, and documentation.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including shortages, quality concerns, and delayed deliveries.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through strategic sourcing and value engineering.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable statutory requirements.
- Support vendor audits, annual rate contracts, and long-term supply agreements.
