Continental Helper for Cafe

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Continental Kitchen Helper to assist the chef with daily kitchen operations and food preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Continental Chef in preparing burgers, pasta, pizza, sandwiches, wraps, and other café dishes.
• Perform basic food preparation such as cutting, chopping, peeling, portioning, and marinating ingredients.
• Assist with pizza, sandwich, burger, pasta, and other food preparations as instructed by the chef.
• Ensure ingredients, sauces, toppings, and other mise en place are ready before service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas.
• Wash and properly store kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and storage standards.
• Assist in receiving, arranging, and storing kitchen ingredients.
• Help with stock checking and minimize food wastage.
• Support the chef during busy hours to ensure orders are prepared on time.
• Follow instructions from the chef and work cooperatively with the kitchen team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a café, QSR, restaurant, or commercial kitchen is preferred.
• Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
• Willingness to learn Continental/café food preparation.
• Hardworking, punctual, disciplined, and a good team player.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
