CCTV Technician

Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and responsible CCTV Technician to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV surveillance systems at residential and commercial locations. The candidate should have practical knowledge of IP cameras, analog cameras, DVRs, NVRs, networking, cabling, and remote-viewing applications.

• Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and configure IP and analog CCTV cameras.
• Install and set up DVRs, NVRs, hard drives, and related equipment.
• Perform camera mounting, cable routing, crimping, and termination.
• Configure routers, IP addresses, port forwarding, and remote viewing.
• Connect CCTV systems with mobile phones, computers, and monitoring screens.
• Diagnose and resolve camera, power supply, cabling, networking, and recording issues.
• Conduct site surveys and recommend suitable camera locations and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine system inspections.
• Repair or replace faulty cameras, cables, connectors, adapters, and other components.
• Maintain installation records, service reports, and material usage details.
• Provide basic operating instructions to customers after installation.
• Follow electrical and workplace safety procedures.
• Travel to customer locations for installation and service calls.
• Required SkillsPractical knowledge of IP, HD, analog, PTZ, dome, and bullet cameras.
• Experience with DVR and NVR configuration.
• Knowledge of LAN networking, routers, switches, and IP addressing.
• Familiarity with Cat6, coaxial and fibre-optic cabling is preferred.
• Ability to use testing tools, drills, crimping tools, and ladders safely.
• Understanding of CCTV brands such as CP Plus, Hikvision, Dahua, Honeywell, or equivalent.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Educational QualificationITI, Diploma, or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical, Networking, or a related field.
• Candidates with strong practical experience may also apply.
• Preferred RequirementsPrevious experience in CCTV installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of biometric attendance systems, video door phones, access-control systems, and intercom systems.
• Two-wheeler and a valid driving licence will be preferred.

Willingness to travel for fieldwork.
