Business Development Representative (Outbound SaaS Sales) 


Experience: 2–5 years in B2B SaaS, ERP, eCommerce, or technology sales 

 

ROLE OVERVIEW 


Help Indian wholesalers, manufacturers, and distributors digitize their B2B operations through AI-driven commerce technology. 

We are looking for a results-driven and highly motivated Business Development Representative (Outbound SaaS Sales) to join our Product Sales team. The ideal candidate should have a consultative sales approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to connect with entrepreneurs and business owners. 


You will be responsible for outbound prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline development, and generating qualified demo opportunities for the Buyience platform across India. 


Company Overview 

Buyience is an AI-driven B2B commerce SaaS platform that helps wholesalers, manufacturers, and distributors digitize their sales operations. Businesses can manage dealer-specific pricing, product catalogs, bulk ordering, and repeat orders through their own branded B2B storefront and commerce operating system. 


 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead Generation & Outreach:  
  • Identify high-potential prospects across India using tools, databases, and market research. 
  • Proactively reach out via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels to initiate conversations 
  • Actively source and engage SME clients across industries such as Manufacturing, Industrial Supplies, Building Materials, Packaging, Textiles, and Wholesale Distribution. 
  • The primary goal is to build a predictable pipeline of qualified demo meetings with wholesalers, manufacturers, and distributors across India.  
  • Schedule and coordinate 20–40 qualified demo meetings per month with SME and entrepreneur prospects for the Buyience platform 


  • Sales Pipeline Management:  
  • Manage outbound prospecting, lead qualification, follow-ups, and pipeline progression through demo scheduling and opportunity nurturing. 
  • Qualify leads, Present Buyience value propositions clearly and confidently while identifying prospect pain points and business needs. 


  • Lead Management:  
  • Track and follow up on all incoming leads from CRM, campaigns, referrals, and review channels. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of meetings, lead progress, lead progress, opportunity stages, and pipeline activity in CRM. 


  • Client Relationship Management: 

     Ensure smooth transition of qualified clients to onboarding and delivery teams. 

     Gather client reviews, testimonials, and referrals post-conversion to support brand credibility. 


  • Revenue Generation:  

Achieve monthly and quarterly pipeline and platform subscription targets as defined by the management team.

  • CRM & Data Discipline: Organized, execution-focused, with proficiency in CRM tools and accurate data entry. 
  • Ownership & Accountability: Takes full ownership of targets, pipeline, and client relationships. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Graduate in any discipline — Mandatory. 
  • MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or Business Development — Preferred. 
  • 2-5 years of experience in Enterprise Sales, Business Development, Pre-Sales, or Account Management in B2B/SaaS 
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and managing multiple accounts or territories. 
  • The ideal candidate has experience selling: 
  • SaaS software  
  • ERP solutions  
  • eCommerce platforms  
  • Digital transformation services  
  • Technology consulting solutions 
  • Preferred background experience with companies such as: 
  • Zoho ecosystem partners  
  • Odoo implementation firms  
  • Shopify agencies  
  • Adobe Commerce (Magento) partners  
  • ERP or CRM solution providers 

 

Performance Expectations 

  • 80–150 outbound prospect touches per day  
  • 30–50 outbound calls daily  
  • Consistent CRM updates and follow-ups  
  • Monthly qualified demo scheduling targets
