Job Description

Role Brief

A Cafe Manager will oversee daily operations, including managing staff, inventory, finances, and customer service to ensure a successful and profitable cafe. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, and scheduling employees, developing and monitoring budgets, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, managing food and supply orders, and resolving customer issues. A successful candidate needs strong leadership, time management, problem-solving, and customer service skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise cafe staff, ensuring they follow company policies and provide excellent customer service.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the cafe, maintaining a smooth workflow and a positive atmosphere.
  • Inventory and Supply Management: Monitor stock levels, order food, coffee, and other supplies, and coordinate with vendors.
  • Financial Management: Track finances, manage budgets, monitor costs, and work to increase profit margins.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, handle complaints, and build relationships with customers.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards for food and beverage quality, presentation, and overall customer experience.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract customers, drive sales, and build brand reputation.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure the cafe adheres to all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
