Job Description – Sales Executive / Sales Manager (EV Charging Stations)

Position: Sales Executive / Sales Manager – EV Charging Solutions

Department: Sales & Business Development

Industry: Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure / EV Charging Solutions

Location: Pan India

Experience: 4–8 Years

Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma / Graduate (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, EV Technology, or related field) + MBA (Preferred)


Role Overview

The Sales Executive / Sales Manager – EV Charging Stations will be responsible for driving sales and business development activities for EV charging infrastructure solutions. The role involves identifying potential clients, generating leads, preparing techno-commercial proposals, and managing client relationships for successful execution of EV charging projects.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales

● Identify and generate new business opportunities for EV charging station installations.

● Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, builders, RWAs, government bodies, fleet operators, malls, hotels, and commercial establishments.

● Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

2. Client Relationship Management

● Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.

● Understand customer requirements and propose suitable EV charging solutions.

● Maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.

3. EV Charging Solution Sales

● Promote and sell AC/DC EV chargers, charging infrastructure, software platforms, and AMC services.

● Explain technical and commercial aspects of EV charging systems to customers.

● Coordinate with technical teams for site feasibility and solution design.

4. Proposal & Tender Management

● Prepare quotations, techno-commercial proposals, and cost estimations.

● Participate in government and private tenders related to EV infrastructure projects.

● Coordinate with internal departments for BOQ, technical specifications, and documentation.

5. Market Research & Strategy

● Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging EV technologies.

● Identify opportunities for market expansion and strategic partnerships.

● Develop sales strategies to increase business growth.

6. Coordination & Project Follow-Up

● Coordinate with project execution and service teams for smooth installation and commissioning.

● Ensure timely project updates and customer satisfaction.

● Follow up for payments, documentation, and closures.

7. Reporting & MIS

● Maintain sales pipeline and customer database.

● Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasts for management.

● Track lead conversion ratios and business performance metrics.

Key Skills & Competencies

● Strong knowledge of EV charging infrastructure and EV ecosystem

● Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills

● Ability to understand technical specifications and customer requirements

● Strong communication and client relationship management skills

● Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools

● Result-oriented with strong business development capabilities


Preferred Experience

● Experience in EV industry, electrical products, solar, infrastructure, or energy sector

● Exposure to government projects and tendering processes

● Understanding of charging standards, load requirements, and EV market trends
