Job Description

Here’s a stronger, more premium version of the JD. It is designed to attract exactly the type of person you’ve described over the past few weeks—someone who loves machines, enjoys improving manufacturing systems, and wants to become part of the core leadership team rather than just manage production.

Plant Operations Manager (Manufacturing Excellence)Location: Bawana, Delhi

About Ram Food IndustriesRam Food Industries is a fast-growing manufacturer of premium moong products, operating two manufacturing plants in Delhi. Our vision is to build one of India’s most efficient and respected pulse processing companies through operational excellence, continuous improvement, and uncompromising quality.

We are looking for a hands-on Plant Operations Manager who enjoys understanding machines, solving operational challenges, improving systems, and leading people from the shop floor.

This is not a desk job, and it is not a routine production manager position.

You will work directly with the promoters and become a key member of the company’s leadership team, helping build world-class manufacturing operations.

Your MissionTake complete ownership of production, operations, inventory, yield, dispatch planning, quality, and continuous improvement across both manufacturing plants.

Your responsibility is not only to run the plant—but to make it better every single day.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Plant OperationsManage end-to-end production across both manufacturing plants.
  • Ensure maximum utilization of plant capacity.
  • Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Plan production based on sales requirements and dispatch commitments.
  • Optimize manpower, machinery, and production flow.
  • Reduce downtime and remove operational bottlenecks.
  • Drive continuous improvements in productivity and efficiency.

Machine Understanding & Process ImprovementWe are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with machines.

You should be curious enough to understand how every major machine works, identify opportunities for improvement, and continuously improve production processes.

Your role includes:

  • Understanding every stage of the production process in detail.
  • Learning the working principles of all critical machines.
  • Identifying root causes of breakdowns and recurring production issues.
  • Improving machine utilization and production flow.
  • Working closely with maintenance to reduce equipment failures.
  • Recommending modifications that improve productivity, recovery, and consistency.

Experience in our exact machinery is not mandatory. We value the ability and willingness to learn more than prior exposure.

  • Inventory, Yield & Cost ControlEnsure accurate accounting of Raw Material, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods.
  • Monitor daily production yield and recovery.
  • Reduce wastage through process improvements.
  • Improve inventory accuracy across all stages.
  • Review daily production and yield reports.
  • Ensure complete material accountability.

  • Ensure quality checks are followed at every production stage.
  • Reduce avoidable customer complaints.
  • Investigate recurring quality issues using root cause analysis.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work closely with the Quality team to improve consistency.

  • Ensure on-time customer deliveries.
  • Improve planning between production, warehouse, and dispatch teams.

  • Create a culture focused on performance and continuous improvement.
  • Data-Driven OperationsMonitor daily production, yield, downtime, inventory, manpower, and quality.
