Guest Relations Executive (GRE) / Host / Hostess


Restaurant: By The Bay


Position Summary: The Guest Relations Executive (GRE) / Host / Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for creating a warm, professional, and memorable arrival experience. The role includes managing reservations, guest seating, VIP handling, customer engagement, and ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Reception & Experience
  • Welcome all guests with warmth, professionalism, and confidence.
  • Escort guests to their tables and ensure comfortable seating arrangements.
  • Maintain a positive first impression and uphold the restaurant's brand image.
  • Engage with guests throughout their visit to ensure satisfaction.
  • Handle guest concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Reservations & Table Management
  • Manage reservations through phone, WhatsApp, social media, and reservation platforms.
  • Maintain an accurate reservation diary and waitlist.
  • Optimize table allocation to maximize covers and minimize waiting time.
  • Coordinate with floor managers regarding table availability and VIP bookings.
  • VIP & Customer Relationship Management
  • Recognize and personally attend to VIP guests and regular patrons.
  • Maintain guest preference records and special occasion notes.
  • Assist in organizing birthday celebrations, anniversaries, and special events.
  • Build relationships that encourage repeat visits and customer loyalty.
  • Sales & Promotion
  • Inform guests about ongoing promotions, events, and special menus.
  • Encourage advance reservations and repeat bookings.
  • Assist in generating leads for corporate bookings, private events, and parties.
  • Communication & Coordination
  • Coordinate closely with service, kitchen, bar, and management teams.
  • Ensure smooth guest flow during peak hours.
  • Communicate special guest requests to relevant departments.
  • Appearance & Brand Representation
  • Maintain impeccable grooming and professional appearance at all times.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for By The Bay.
  • Uphold hospitality standards and create a premium guest experience.


Requirements:

  • Graduate preferred.
  • Experience in hospitality, luxury retail, aviation, hotels, restaurants, or customer service preferred.
  • Freshers with excellent communication and personality may also apply.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi.
  • Excellent interpersonal and guest-handling skills.
  • Strong presentation and grooming standards.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
