Credit Manager

Job Summary

Turant Paisa is looking for a detail-oriented and analytically strong Credit Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating payday loan applications.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in fintech or NBFC lending, with a strong understanding of short-term loan underwriting, risk assessment, fraud checks, bureau analysis, and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite payday/personal loan applications as per credit policy
• Assess creditworthiness using income, bureau reports, banking patterns, and risk parameters
• Review CIBIL/Experian reports for credit decisioning
• Conduct risk checks, fraud checks, and policy validation before sanction
• Take independent credit decisions within approval limits
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, TAT, and regulatory guidelines
• Coordinate with teams for processing, verification, and sanction closure
• Maintain credit documentation and audit trail

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of credit underwriting and risk assessment
• Experience in fintech/NBFC lending processes
• Familiarity with CIBIL, Experian, CRIF, etc.
• Ability to take independent credit decisions
• Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and LOS/loan processing systems

Must have prior experience in Payday Loans / Short-term Personal Loans

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in Fintech / NBFC
• Hands-on experience in credit appraisal/underwriting sanction
• Prior exposure to digital lending, personal loans, or payday loan products will be preferred
