Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Commis Chef specialising in Indian Cuisine to join our kitchen team. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring consistency in food taste and presentation.

• Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing Indian dishes, including North Indian gravies, curries, dals, breads, and other traditional preparations.
• Handle basic food preparation, cutting, chopping, marination, and mise en place.
• Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food production.
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards in the kitchen.
• Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of raw materials.
• Monitor stock levels and inform seniors about ingredient requirements.
• Follow kitchen SOPs and instructions provided by senior chefs.
• Minimise food wastage and maintain proper utilisation of ingredients.

• Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in an Indian cuisine kitchen.
• Good knowledge of Indian cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Basic understanding of North Indian cuisine, gravies, curries, and spices.
• Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork, discipline, and willingness to learn.
