Chaat Maker

Core Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Create traditional chaat items from scratch, including boiling potatoes/chickpeas, frying crispy elements (papdi, sev), and mixing bases. 
• Recipe Formulation: Prepare and standardize chutneys (mint/coriander, tamarind, garlic), spice blends, and flavored waters (pani). 
• Hygiene & Sanitation: Strictly adhere to food safety standards by maintaining a clean workstation, sanitizing utensils, and handling perishable items correctly. 
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of ingredients, track expiration dates, and notify management of needed supplies. 
• Customer Service: Assemble orders quickly and present them neatly for dine-in or takeaway, often customizing spice levels to suit customer preferences. 

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: Typically requires 1 to 3 years of experience making Indian street food or working in quick-service restaurants (QSR).
• Flavor Profile Knowledge: A deep understanding of regional taste profiles and the ability to consistently balance complex flavors and textures.
• Efficiency: Ability to work swiftly and calmly in high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environments.
