Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Field Service Engineer to install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and provide technical support for medical equipment at hospitals, nursing homes, laboratories, and other healthcare facilities.
The engineer will work closely with customers, doctors, biomedical departments, and the company's sales and service teams to ensure reliable operation of medical equipment.
- Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation, commissioning, testing, and demonstration of medical equipment at customer locations.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of medical equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and software-related issues.
- Attend breakdown/service calls and provide timely technical solutions.
- Carry out routine servicing, calibration, inspection, and performance testing.
- Maintain proper service reports, installation reports, breakdown reports, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with customers regarding service schedules and technical requirements.
- Explain equipment operation and basic troubleshooting procedures to hospital staff.
- Identify defective parts and recommend replacement of spares when required.
- Maintain service tools, spare parts, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with the company's technical, sales, and management teams for customer requirements.
- Support sales team during product demonstrations, installations, and technical discussions when required.
- Travel to hospitals and customer locations for service assignments.
- Follow company safety procedures and medical equipment servicing standards.
- Maintain good professional relationships with customers and ensure customer satisfaction.
Equipment ExposureExperience with any of the following medical equipment will be an advantage:
- ICU / NICU Equipment
- Ventilators
- Patient Monitors
- Anesthesia Machines
- Infusion & Syringe Pumps
- OT Equipment
- Electrosurgical / Cautery Units
- Laparoscopy Systems
- Defibrillators

- Medical Gas / Oxygen-related Equipment
- Other Hospital and Biomedical Equipment
- Educational QualificationDiploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
- Freshers with good technical knowledge may also be considered.
- Candidates with prior experience in medical equipment service will be preferred.
- Required SkillsGood knowledge of electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of medical equipment.
- Ability to read circuit diagrams and technical manuals.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
- Willingness to travel to hospitals and customer locations.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to prepare service reports.
- Valid driving licence will be an advantage.
ExperienceFreshers: 0–2 years – Training can be provided to suitable candidates.
Experienced: 2–5 years in medical equipment service / biomedical equipment service preferred.
