Job SummaryWe are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, and result-oriented Admissions Counsellor to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for counselling prospective students and parents, understanding their educational and career requirements, providing information about available programs, and converting qualified leads into successful admissions.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong follow-up abilities, and a student-focused approach.
- Key ResponsibilitiesHandle enquiries from prospective students through phone calls, WhatsApp, email, online meetings, and face-to-face interactions.
- Counsel students and parents regarding available courses, programs, admission procedures, eligibility, fees, and career opportunities.
- Understand students’ educational backgrounds, interests, goals, and requirements.
- Recommend suitable courses or programs based on the student’s needs.
- Follow up regularly with prospective students and parents to ensure timely admissions.
- Convert leads and enquiries into successful admissions/enrolments.
- Maintain a professional and positive relationship with students and parents throughout the admission process.
- Explain course structure, curriculum, fees, eligibility criteria, documentation, and admission timelines clearly.
- Handle objections and resolve queries professionally to support the decision-making process.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, calls, follow-ups, counselling sessions, and admissions in the CRM/system.
- Achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly admission targets.
- Coordinate with the academic, operations, and admissions teams for smooth student onboarding.
- Participate in seminars, webinars, workshops, education fairs, orientation programs, and admission events when required.
- Prepare regular reports on enquiries, follow-ups, conversions, and admissions.
- Stay updated with the organization’s courses, admission policies, educational trends, and career opportunities.
- Required SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong counselling and interpersonal skills.
- Good convincing, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong follow-up and lead-conversion skills.
- Ability to handle objections and communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Target-oriented and result-driven approach.
- Good customer-service and relationship-management skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, Google Workspace, CRM, and communication tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Educational QualificationsBachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- A degree/diploma in Management, Education, Psychology, Counselling, Marketing, or a related field will be an advantage.
- Experience0–3 years of experience in admissions counselling, academic counselling, education sales, tele-counselling, customer service, or a related field.
- Freshers with excellent communication and interpersonal skills may also be considered.
