Job Description

Job Summary


The Admission Counsellor will be responsible for counselling prospective students, following up on leads generated through various marketing channels, and converting qualified leads into successful admissions. The role requires excellent communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.


  • Key Responsibilities


Contact prospective students through outbound calls using the institution's CRM.

  • Counsel students and parents regarding SGI's Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs.
  • Understand students' educational goals and recommend suitable courses.
  • Explain course curriculum, eligibility criteria, admission process, scholarships, fee structure, and career opportunities.
  • Follow up regularly with prospective students until the admission process is completed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions and update lead status in the CRM.
  • Achieve monthly admission and conversion targets.
  • Coordinate with the admissions, marketing, and academic teams for smooth student onboarding.
  • Handle student queries professionally through phone calls, WhatsApp, emails, and other communication channels.
  • Ensure timely documentation and support students throughout the admission process.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective students and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.


  • Required Skills


  • Excellent verbal communication in Hindi and English.
  • Strong convincing and negotiation skills.
  • Confident and persuasive personality.
  • Ability to achieve admission targets.
  • Good interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems).
  • Ability to multitask and manage follow-ups efficiently.
  • Positive attitude and customer-centric approach.


  • Preferred Experience


  • 0–3 years in Education Counselling, Admission Counselling, Telecalling, Inside Sales, or Business Development.
  • Experience using CRM software is an added advantage.


  • Working Hours - Monday to Saturday
  • 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Work from Office
