Accountant

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage accounting, inventory, sales, purchases, and financial records for a jewellery business. The ideal candidate should understand jewellery-specific accounting, including gold/silver stock, purity, wastage, making charges, and customer/vendor accounts.

JEWELLERY INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE NEEDED

• Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain daily sales, purchase, cash, bank, and journal entries.
• Maintain jewellery stock records based on item, quantity, gross weight, net weight, purity, and value.
• Record and reconcile gold/silver purchases and sales.
• Account for making charges, wastage, discounts, and other jewellery-related charges.
• Maintain customer and supplier ledgers and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Record customer advances and adjust them against invoices.
• Manage karigar/job-work accounts, including material issued and received.
• Prepare and verify sales invoices, purchase bills, credit notes, and debit notes.
• Handle GST/TDS-related accounting and reconciliations, as applicable.
• Reconcile cash, bank, UPI, card, and other payment collections.
• Assist with monthly closing, stock reconciliation, and profit & loss statements.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, suppliers, and management.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure accurate and timely accounting records.
