Job Description

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and circuit diagrams.
  • Install electrical panels, switches, sockets, lighting systems, and distribution boards.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults using testing equipment.
  • Replace damaged electrical components such as cables, breakers, fuses, relays, and switches.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety standards and electrical codes.
  • Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, and voltage testing.
  • Maintain electrical tools, testing instruments, and equipment in good working condition.
  • Attend emergency breakdowns and restore power safely and efficiently.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and other electrical safety practices.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians during installation and maintenance work.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping of the work area after completing the job.
  • Report equipment defects, safety hazards, and material requirements to the supervisor.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all company safety guidelines.
  • Assist in commissioning and testing newly installed electrical systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Required Skills:Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
