Job Description – Quality Control (QC) Technician

Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Technician

Department: Quality

Location: HEBBAL MYSORE.

Qualification: Diploma

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

Freshers or up to 2 years of experience in Quality Control or Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Perform inspection of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.

Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and Dial Indicators.

Verify products against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation.

Identify defects and report non-conforming materials or products.

Support root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Ensure compliance with quality procedures, safety standards, and company policies.

Coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

Maintain inspection records and prepare quality reports.

Required Skills

Basic knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.

Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T concepts (preferred).

Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection techniques.

Basic understanding of ISO 9001 and quality documentation.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel and MS Word).

Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Willingness to work in shifts if required.

Preferred Knowledge

7 QC Tools.

5S and Kaizen.

Lean Manufacturing concepts.

Basic understanding of CAPA and Root Cause Analysis.
