Lab Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our laboratory team at SurTec.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in chemical testing within the electroplating

industry and a strong understanding of zinc and zinc alloy processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for customer requirements and laboratory experiments as directed by the Head

of Laboratory.

• Conduct testing of customer baths and analyze chemical compositions.

• Perform chemical and physical testing on routine and non-routine product samples.

• Accurately record observations, test results, and experimental data.

• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure cleanliness of the laboratory area.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.

• Issue test certificates based on analysis results.

• Support field visits along with Sales and Technical Managers for external laboratory visits and

customer technical support.

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry.

• 3–5 years of relevant laboratory experience.

• Prior experience in the electroplating industry is mandatory.

• Experience with Zinc, Zinc Alloys, Passivation, and Top Coats is essential.

• ELP Lab experience is preferred.
