JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role and Responsibilities

 

External Packaging Innovation

o   Drive packaging innovation by liaising with external packaging solution providers, suppliers, and technology partners.

o   Scout, evaluate, and implement emerging packaging technologies aligned with patient-centricity, cost efficiency, and regulatory expectations.

o   Manage vendor collaborations from concept development through industrialization and scale-up.

Sustainability & Lifecycle Management

o   Champion sustainable packaging solutions across NPI and LCM projects, including material reduction, recyclability, and eco-design.

o   Ensure alignment with corporate sustainability goals and evolving environmental regulations.

o   Lead value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives without compromising quality or compliance.

Packaging Safety & Compliance

o   Ensure packaging safety by proactively addressing risks related to nitrosamines, PFAS, extractables, and leachable.

o   Drive compliance with global regulatory, pharmacopeial, and quality standards.

o   Partner with Quality, Regulatory, and EHS teams to ensure robust risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

Product Security & Anti-Counterfeiting

o   Implement and maintain anti-counterfeiting and product security features such as serialization, tamper evidence, and traceability solutions.

o   Strengthen supply chain integrity and safeguard patient safety through secure packaging designs.

o   Collaborate with global security, manufacturing, and commercial teams to deploy scalable solutions.

Cross-Functional Leadership

o   Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, and Marketing to ensure seamless execution of packaging projects.

o   Lead technical documentation, vendor qualification, and change management activities.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to capability building within the packaging function.
