Head - Safety
Responsibilities
Strategic Safety Leadership:
Define and implement comprehensive EHS policies and safety standards aligned with legal and organizational requirements. Develop and monitor the annual EHS project roadmap, including initiatives for cultural transformation and operational improvements.
Risk Management:
Lead risk assessments to identify potential hazards and design mitigation plans across operations. Guide the team in the investigation of incidents and near-misses, ensuring root cause analysis and preventive action implementation.
Safety Audits and Compliance:
Conduct and oversee internal audits, inspections, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal safety standards. Drive corrective action plans post-audits and monitor effectiveness through periodic reviews.
Permit System Implementation:
Develop and administer permit systems and enforce procedural adherence at all levels. Standardize and improve EHS processes to align with evolving operational needs and compliance requirements.
Documentation and Reporting:
Oversee EHS documentation including reports, permits, checklists, and registers, ensuring version control and audit readiness. Present consolidated monthly reports and insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
Training and Capability Building:
Design and conduct advanced training sessions for employees and contractors on safety protocols, hazard management, and emergency preparedness. Build awareness and motivate teams to embrace safety as a core value through workshops and refresher programs.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the key interface between internal departments, contractors, and statutory/regulatory authorities for all EHS matters. Ensure effective communication of policy changes, incident alerts, and EHS updates across teams and business units.
Process Improvement:
Lead the identification of process gaps and initiate improvement projects for better safety outcomes and operational efficiency.Recommend and implement innovative practices, tools, or technologies that support a stronger safety culture.
Brand Positioning:
Ensure Adani's brand values are shown in all interactions. Strengthen relationships to boost the organization's brand and trust within the market and company.
Team Development:
Build a high-performing team. Set clear KPIs, track progress, and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success. Tracks and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital business success.
Digital mindset:
Champions a digital mindset within the organization to drive innovation and competitiveness. Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
B.Tech/ diploma in civil, electrical mechanical
Work Experience:
12-15 years of experience
