Head of Retail Trade, Forex and Remittance Business

Head - RTFX| Mumbai

To lead and scale the Retail Trade, Forex, and Remittance business by driving revenue growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening customer acquisition, and optimizing product and channel strategies.

Managerial Responsibilities:

1. Define and execute the overall strategy for Retail Forex, Trade Services, and Remittances
2. Drive revenue growth across products like outward/inward remittances, currency exchange, travel forex, and trade services (LC, BG, etc. where applicable)
3. Identify new market opportunities and customer segments (retail, SME, HNI, migrant segments)
4. Develop pricing strategies and product innovations to stay competitive
5. Build and scale multi-channel distribution (branches, agents, digital channels, partners)
6. Drive customer acquisition and volume growth across geographies
7. Develop partnerships with travel agents, corporates, educational consultants, and aggregators
8. Ensure strong cross-sell with other banking/financial products

 

Functional Responsibilities:

1. Oversee lifecycle management of forex and remittance products
2. Monitor transaction volumes, spreads, margins, and profitability
3. Introduce digital solutions for seamless customer experience
4. Ensure alignment with customer needs and market trends
5. Identify and mitigate operational, fraud, and compliance risks
6. Ensure strong controls in forex transactions and trade services
7. Monitor suspicious transactions and escalate as per AML guidelines
8. Maintain audit-ready processes
9. Build and scale multi-channel distribution (branches, agents, digital channels, partners)
10. Drive customer acquisition and volume growth across geographies.
11. Develop partnerships with travel agents, corporates, educational consultants, and aggregators.
12. Ensure strong cross-sell with other banking/financial products.
