Roles & responsibilities

As an Associate Consultant in our team you will be responsible, amongst other things for:

Supporting in the delivery of infrastructure valuation projects for sectors such as power & utilities, transportation & social infrastructureSupport in developing and reviewing detailed financial models and perform in-depth financial analysis using various valuation methodologies (Public company analysis, Precedent transaction analysis, and Discounted cash flow)Support in preparing high-quality client deliverables, including clear Valuation reports and presentationsUnderstanding the delivery models applied to the infrastructure projects lifecycle across construction, operations, financing & refinancing phasesSupport in monitoring market trends, regulatory developments and transaction comparable in the infrastructure sector and benchmark valuation assumptions (discount rates, risk premiums, multiples) using market dataSupport in actively building and managing the relationships and interface with Global KPMG Infrastructure teams and other deal advisory professionalsSupporting KPMG onshore teams and contributing to knowledge management to support practice development

Educational qualifications

MBA / PGDBM / CFA/CA

Prior experience

Relevant experience (1-2 years) gained in either Valuations, Corporate Finance, Infrastructure Investment, Fund-raising, Project Finance or similar deal experience in the relevant sector/ propositions (as applicable)

Mandatory  technical & functional skills

Good understanding of valuation methodologies (Comparable company, Precedent transaction, DCF, etc.)Be skilled in valuation and financial analysisBasic experience in financial modellingGood report writing skillsFinancial analysis and interpretation, in particular DCF methods (NPV and IRR)Support in preparing infrastructure models from scratch and/or have experience into model audits/reviewsHave basic knowledge of financing structures, particularly debt and equity finance and other types of project-based financingHave an ability to interpret and present outputs from financial models to support the commercial advice to onshore/clientGood working knowledge of accounting and financial statementsStrong problem-solving skills; Knowledge of advanced functions in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint & MS Word
