Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced 6G ARC Welder to perform high-quality pipe welding activities for firefighting and MEP projects. The candidate will be responsible for ARC welding of MS & GI pipes in 6G position, pipe fit-up activities, joint preparation, and ensuring welding work is completed as per approved drawings, quality standards, and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ARC welding of MS & GI pipes in 6G position.
• Carry out pipe fit-up, alignment, and joint preparation.
• Execute root pass, filler pass, and capping welding.
• Perform grinding, finishing, and weld cleaning after completion.
• Ensure welding is completed as per drawings and site specifications.
• Repair and rectify welding defects when required.
• Support hydro testing and line modification activities.
• Coordinate with supervisors and fitters for smooth project execution.
• Maintain welding quality and safety standards at site.
• Properly handle welding machines, electrodes, and grinding tools.
• Follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Technical Requirements

Knowledge of ARC welding machine operation.

• Hands-on experience in 6G pipe welding.
• Knowledge of MS and GI pipe welding techniques.
• Ability to read piping drawings and weld symbols.
• Understanding of welding electrodes and welding parameters.
• Familiarity with grinding and cutting tools.
• Knowledge of welding safety practices and quality standards.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in pipe welding.
• Experience in firefighting and MEP projects preferred.

Educational Qualification

• ITI / Technical Certification in Welding preferred.
• Relevant welding certification will be an added advantage.

Skills Required

• Strong welding and fabrication skills.
• Good understanding of site execution work.
