Store Manager

1. Store Manager (1 opening)

The Store Manager owns the Versova café end to end: guest experience, people, profit and

compliance. This role opens Blenz Coffee's first store in Mumbai and sets the standard for every

café that follows.

Reports to: Operations Head, UPLYV

Manages: Shift Manager, 4 Baristas, 3 Team Members

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Store launch

• Lead pre-opening readiness with the fit-out, equipment and brand teams: snag lists, equipment

commissioning, opening stock and trial runs.

• Complete Blenz brand training and certify the team before opening day.

• Plan and run the grand opening with the marketing team.

Guest experience and brand standards

• Deliver every drink and every visit to Blenz global standards for recipe, speed, cleanliness and

hospitality.

• Handle escalated guest feedback and online reviews within 24 hours.

• Run regular brand-standard audits and close the gaps they find.

People

• Hire, onboard, train and appraise the store team with UPLYV HR.

• Build the weekly roster to match footfall, labour budget and legal working hours.

• Coach baristas on beverage quality, latte art and upselling; build a bench for promotion.

• Uphold the Store Workplace Policy and POSH requirements, and act as the first point of

contact for team concerns.

Sales and profitability

• Own the store P&L: sales, cost of goods, wastage, labour and controllable expenses.

• Drive sales through local area marketing, community tie-ups, corporate orders and delivery

platforms.

• Track daily sales, average bill value and footfall; report weekly to UPLYV.

Operations and inventory

• Place and receive orders from approved Blenz suppliers; control stock, expiry and wastage.

• Ensure all equipment (espresso machine, grinders, ovens, refrigeration) is cleaned, maintained

and serviced on schedule.

• Reconcile cash, card and UPI takings daily and follow POS and audit procedures.

Compliance, food safety and security

• Keep FSSAI, Shops & Establishments, fire safety and other store licences valid and displayed.

• Enforce food safety, hygiene and HACCP-based practices, and keep the logs audit-ready.

• Own store opening and closing, cash security and incident reporting.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: 5–8 years in cafés, QSR or hospitality, with at least 2 years running a store or

outlet as manager or assistant manager.

• Preferred: experience with a premium or international coffee or F&B brand; a store opening is

a strong plus.

• Education: graduate in any discipline; hotel management or hospitality diploma preferred.

• Skills: P&L and inventory management, rostering, POS and Excel, team leadership and guest

recovery.

• Certification: FSSAI FoSTaC food safety supervisor training, or willingness to complete it in 6

months

• Languages: fluent English and Hindi; Marathi is an advantage.

• Availability: flexible across early, late, weekend and holiday shifts.

SUCCESS MEASURES (FIRST 12 MONTHS)

• Opening on the committed date with a fully trained team.

• Sales and gross margin at or above the approved store budget.

• Brand audit, food safety and hygiene scores at or above the Blenz benchmark.

• Team attrition held below [target] % with at least one internal promotion.

Compensation: Rs.4.8 lacs/annum, plus performance incentive, PF, ESIC (where applicable) and

statutory benefits.( Not a constraint for exceptional candidate-can go up to Rs.6 lacs/annum)
