Business Development Manager – Conferences & Experiential

 

About Blueberry Events LLP

Blueberry Events LLP creates high-impact medical conferences, corporate events, hybrid formats, and broadcast-grade productions across India. We’re now strengthening our revenue engine and looking for a Business Development Manager who understands that we don’t sell “events” we build experiences. This role is for someone who can walk into a room and talk value, strategy, outcomes and not just budgets and line items. Someone who sees beyond pricing discussions and knows how to position premium execution with confidence.

 

Role Objective

To generate qualified leads, convert mid-to-large value projects, and build long-term client relationships in Non Pharma Corporate’s, Pharma corporates, Medical Associations, and Brand Launch domains.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities in:
  • Banking & Finance
  • Insurance sector
  • Automobile sector
  • Pharma conferences, CME programs
  • Corporate events
  • Product launches
  • Pitch integrated experiential solutions (not just costing sheets)
  • Coordinate with internal creative & production teams for proposal building
  • Manage end-to-end client communication till deal closure
  • Build a strong pipeline of ₹ 20L– ₹ 1Cr projects
  • Maintain CRM discipline and structured follow-ups

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 4–7 years experience in:
  • Event agency BD
  • Pharma activation
  • Conference management
  • Has closed projects worth ₹ 15L – ₹ 1Cr
  • Understands:
  • Fabrication to the core
  • AV & LED costing logic
  • Production timelines
  • Strong presentation & negotiation skills
  • Comfortable meeting senior marketing managers / brand teams
  • Self-driven with structured reporting discipline

 

What We Are NOT Looking For

  • Tele-calling sales profiles
  • Exhibition stall-only salespeople
  • Pure commission hunters without planning depth
  • Freshers

 

Compensation Structure

Fixed + Incentive (based on profile)

 

Growth Path

  • 12–18 months → Senior BD / Vertical Lead
  • Performance-based fast-track into leadership role
