Key responsibilities for an HCM Risk role

Risk Assessment: Identify operational, financial, compliance, and technology risks in HR processes and HCM systems.

HR Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws, employment regulations, data privacy requirements, and internal HR policies.

Access and Security Controls: Review user access, role-based permissions, segregation of duties (SoD), and sensitive employee data access.

Payroll and Benefits Risk: Identify risks related to payroll accuracy, employee compensation, benefits administration, and unauthorized payments.

Internal Controls and Audits: Perform control testing, document audit evidence, identify control gaps, and track remediation actions.

Data Privacy and Security: Mitigate risks involving employee personal information, confidentiality, and unauthorized data disclosure.

HCM System Risk: Assess risks associated with platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM Cloud, Workday, or other HR management systems.

Incident Management: Investigate control failures, document root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible for identifying and assessing risks across Human Capital Management processes, ensuring effective internal controls, and supporting compliance with regulatory and organizational policies. The role involves evaluating HR system access, payroll controls, employee data privacy, and process-level risks. The candidate will collaborate with HR, IT, compliance, and audit teams to conduct risk assessments, identify control deficiencies, recommend remediation plans, and monitor risk mitigation activities.

Preferred experience:

Experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance, or operational risk.

Understanding of HR processes, including employee onboarding, payroll, compensation, and offboarding.

Knowledge of HCM platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or Workday.

Experience with control frameworks, audit documentation, and risk reporting.
