  • Greeting: Welcoming guests with a smile and eye contact 
  • Seating: Guiding guests to their tables and optimizing seating to ensure wait staff have an even workload 
  • Reservations: Answering phones and scheduling reservations, especially for large parties 
  • Wait times: Providing accurate wait time estimates to guests 
  • Menus: Providing menus to guests and answering any initial questions
