Job Description

Core Responsibilities of a CDP:

  • Station Management: Overseeing all operations within their assigned section to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Food Preparation: Cooking dishes according to recipes and plating standards established by the Head Chef.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of food.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintaining strict cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations, such as those from the FSSAI.
  • Inventory Control: Monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies for their section, and reducing waste.
  • Team Leadership: Training, guiding, and supporting junior chefs (commis) and kitchen porters.
  • Menu Collaboration: Assisting the sous chef or head chef with creating new dishes or menus
