POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a dynamic, target-driven, and highly persuasive PR & Marketing — Business Development Executive to spearhead our organization's market growth, client acquisition, and revenue expansion. This role is entirely focused on Business Development and Marketing — not journalism. The ideal candidate will leverage PR skills as a tool for business growth, building powerful networks, convincing prospects, closing deals, and driving brand visibility to generate tangible business results. You will be the front-facing growth engine of the organization — turning connections into contracts and relationships into revenue.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Revenue Growth

Pitch organizational services and solutions confidently to decision-makers and close business deals

• Negotiate contract terms, pricing structures, and partnership agreements — always ensuring fair and optimal deal outcomes

• Build and manage a healthy business pipeline with consistent follow-ups and strong lead-to-client conversion

• Prepare professional business proposals, pitch decks, and service presentations for prospects

• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly business development and revenue targets

• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing client base to maximize revenue


PR as a Marketing & BD Tool — Not Journalism

• Use PR strategies specifically to build brand credibility that supports business development and client trust

• Build relationships with media, influencers, and platforms to amplify organizational visibility and attract business

• Execute PR-backed marketing campaigns that generate leads, awareness, and measurable business outcomes

• Coordinate with the internal marketing team to align PR messaging with active BD campaigns and sales goals

• Manage organizational presence at business expos, trade shows, industry summits, and networking events

• Track and report on how PR activities directly contribute to business development results and revenue


Network Building for Business Growth

• Build a powerful network of industry decision-makers, potential clients, investors, and strategic partners

• Represent the organization at business forums, chamber of commerce events, and high-value networking meets

• Develop collaborative partnerships with complementary organizations for mutual business growth

• Maintain an active and updated CRM database of all leads, contacts, and business relationships

• Leverage personal and professional networks to generate consistent referrals and new business opportunities

• Maintain a strong presence on LinkedIn and professional platforms to attract inbound business inquiries


Persuasion, Negotiation & Deal Closing

• Use advanced persuasion and consultative selling techniques to convince prospects to choose our organization

• Handle client objections, concerns, and hesitations with confidence to move deals forward

• Evaluate market pricing, competitor rates, and service value to propose fair and competitive pricing

• Structure win-win deals that satisfy client budgets while protecting organizational revenue margins

• Draft and review MoUs, service agreements, and partnership contracts with strong attention to commercial terms

• Follow up persistently and professionally until deals are closed and onboarding begins


Market Research & Business Intelligence

• Research new industries, market segments, and geographic areas for business expansion opportunities

• Analyze competitor positioning, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies to sharpen our BD approach

• Monitor market trends and industry movements to identify emerging business opportunities early

• Prepare strategic reports and business intelligence summaries to support leadership decision-making


REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Core Skills — Must Have

• Outstanding communication skills — persuasive, confident, and compelling in both written and verbal form

• Strong ability to convince and influence individuals, organizations, and decision-makers to take action

• Expert negotiation skills — comfortable handling pricing, terms, contracts, and commercial agreements

• Ability to assess fair market pricing and structure deals that benefit both the client and the organization

• Exceptional networking ability — natural talent for building and sustaining high-value professional relationships

• High emotional intelligence — skilled at reading people, building rapport quickly, and adapting communication style

  • Self-motivated and target-driven with strong ability to work independently and manage personal performance

• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple BD pursuits simultaneously


PR & Marketing for Business Development

• Understanding of how to use PR as a business development and lead generation tool — not as journalism

• Knowledge of digital marketing, social media strategy, and brand promotion to support BD activities

• Ability to plan and execute marketing campaigns that are aligned with business growth objectives

• Experience with CRM software (Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) for pipeline and contact management

• Proficiency in LinkedIn, networking platforms, and digital outreach tools for prospecting and BD


Education & Experience — Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication — MANDATORY / REQUIRED

• Additional qualification in Marketing, Business Development, MBA, or PR is a strong advantage

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in business development, client acquisition, or BD-focused marketing

• Proven track record of closing deals, building business networks, and achieving revenue targets

• Experience in a sales, BD, or client-facing marketing role is preferred over purely journalistic roles

• Existing professional network of potential clients, industry contacts, or partners is a strong advantage


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA or Postgraduate degree in Marketing, Business Development, or PR Management

• Experience working in a BD or growth role within agencies, startups, or corporate organizations

• Knowledge of proposal writing, tender management, or B2B/B2C deal structuring

• Exposure to event marketing, sponsorship acquisition, or partnership development programs

• Multilingual communication ability is a significant advantage for diverse client engagement


KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

• Number of new business leads generated, pitched, and successfully converted per month/quarter

• Total revenue contributed through new client acquisitions and active partnerships

• Size and quality of professional and business network built over time

• Deals closed at fair and optimal pricing — negotiation outcome quality

• Number and reach of PR-backed marketing campaigns that supported BD goals

• Client retention and satisfaction scores for accounts acquired through BD activities

• Growth in organizational brand visibility as a direct result of PR and marketing efforts
