Position: Internal Audit & Accounts Executive

Location: Goregaon West, Mumbai

Work Mode: Hybrid

Experience: Minimum 5 Years

Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month

Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced professional to primarily handle Internal Audit functions along with supporting day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate should possess strong auditing, compliance, and financial reporting skills. Prior experience in the insurance industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities-

• Internal Audit (Primary Responsibility)Conduct internal audits and process reviews as per the approved audit plan.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify process gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform risk assessments and compliance reviews.
• Prepare audit reports, document observations, and track closure of audit findings.
• Review adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control procedures.
• Coordinate with various departments to obtain audit-related information and documentation.
• Assist management in strengthening governance, risk management, and control frameworks.
• Accounts & Finance SupportHandle routine accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.
• Support GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance-related activities.
• Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist during statutory audits and external audits as required.

Requirements-

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Internal Audit, preferably with exposure to accounting functions.
• Experience in the insurance industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, audit methodologies, accounting principles, and compliance requirements.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile-

• Experience in both Internal Audit and Accounts.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
