Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounts (Film Production / hospital health care industry)
Location:
Mumbai / western line
Qualification:
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Semi-Qualified CA (CA Inter)
B.Com / M.Com with relevant experience may also be considered
Experience:
3–7 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Budgeting, and Cost Control
Prior experience in the Film, Media, Entertainment Industry or health care industry and hospital will be preferred
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance & Accounts professional to manage budgeting, financial planning, accounting operations, and cost monitoring for film production projects. The candidate will work closely with production teams, vendors, and management to ensure effective financial control throughout the production lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare and monitor film/project budgets.
Track actual expenses against approved budgets.
Analyze budget variances and provide regular MIS reports.
Assist management in financial planning and forecasting.
Accounting & Financial Management
Manage day-to-day accounting transactions.
Ensure accurate bookkeeping and maintenance of financial records.
Review production expenses and supporting documents.
Prepare monthly financial statements and project-wise profitability reports.
Production Finance
Coordinate with production teams for budget allocation and utilization.
Monitor shooting expenses, petty cash, and production advances.
Verify vendor bills, artist payments, and crew payments.
Maintain project-wise cost sheets and expense trackers.
Compliance & Taxation
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Assist in tax audits, statutory audits, and financial reporting.
Vendor & Cash Flow Management
Manage vendor payments and reconciliations.
Monitor cash flow requirements for ongoing productions.
Maintain proper documentation and approval processes for payments.
MIS & Reporting
Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports for management.
Generate project cost reports, cash flow reports, and budget utilization reports.
Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of Accounting, Taxation, GST, and TDS.
Experience in Budgeting and Cost Management.
Excellent proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Financial Models).
Familiarity with Tally, ERP systems, or accounting software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under tight production deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Film Production Accounting.
Understanding of production budgeting, artist contracts, and vendor management.
Knowledge of entertainment industry financial practices.
