Job Description (JD) – Indian Curry Cook

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, spices and gravies for Indian curry dishes.
• Cook and prepare curries according to standard recipes and portion specifications.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation and quality of all dishes.
• Maintain proper storage and labeling of raw materials and prepared food.
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and food safety standards.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the senior chef about shortages.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the curry section, equipment and workstations.
• Minimize food wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
• Support senior chefs during peak service hours.
• Follow all kitchen SOPs, HACCP and company hygiene standards.
• Assist in receiving and checking kitchen supplies when required.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
