Job Description – DCDP Continental

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook continental dishes as per standardized recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation and portion control.
• Assist the CDP in daily kitchen operations and mise en place.
• Maintain food hygiene, sanitation and safety standards at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the CDP.
• Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Support training and guide Commis chefs when required.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections for smooth service during operations.
• Follow all SOPs and company policies.

Skills & Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Continental cuisine.
• Strong knowledge of sauces, grills, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, steaks and breakfast preparations.
• Understanding of food safety and HACCP standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn and take ownership.
