Purchase Manager

Location: Mira Road, Mumbai

Role & Responsibilities:

• The Purchase Manager is responsible for sourcing, procurement, vendor management, cost control, and timely availability of all raw materials, consumables, spares, and services required for smooth operation of the factory.
• Plan & execute procurement of raw materials and services.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts to ensure best value procurement.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers.
• Maintain approved vendor list and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain optimal stock levels to support uninterrupted production.
• Work closely with Stores to monitor inventory and avoid overstocking or shortages.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and Finance for material planning.
• Ensure all procurement documentation is accurate and complete (PO, GRN, contracts, etc.).
• Oversee logistics, transportation, and timely delivery of materials.

Required Qualifications & Work Experience:

• Education: Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or any relevant field. MBA (Supply Chain) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 3 – 8 years of purchase experience in a manufacturing (steel / rubber/chemicals) company.
