Job Description

  • Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all kitchen operations.


  • Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency.
  • Plan and supervise daily food production and service.
  • Develop and standardize recipes and portion sizes.
  • Control food cost, wastage, and kitchen expenses.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure timely ordering of raw materials.
  • Maintain stock records and conduct regular inventory checks.
  • Ensure proper storage using FIFO and FEFO methods.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety.
  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI and company SOPs.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff.
  • Prepare duty rosters and manage manpower efficiently.
  • Conduct daily kitchen briefings and team meetings.
  • Coordinate with restaurant operations, purchasing, stores, and HR.
  • Handle guest feedback related to food quality and service.
  • Introduce new dishes and seasonal menu offerings.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and report maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure timely food preparation during busy service hours.
  • Reduce food waste and improve kitchen productivity.
  • Maintain discipline and a positive work environment in the kitchen.
  • Ensure all recipes and plating follow company standards.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly kitchen reports.
  • Support audits and maintain all required kitchen documentation.
  • Take responsibility for overall kitchen performance and guest satisfaction.
