Car Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: Use advanced tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specific OBD scan tools) to test and locate electrical malfunctions.
• Repairs: Remove, repair, or replace faulty wiring, alternators, starters, and ignition components.
• Installation: Fit aftermarket accessories and systems, such as alarms, audio systems, lighting, and tracking devices.
• Maintenance: Perform routine electrical system maintenance and engine tune-ups.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records of all completed diagnostic checks, services, and parts used.
• Customer Service: Explain technical issues and proposed repairs clearly to vehicle owners

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: A high school diploma paired with a certification or degree in automotive electrical technology or a related trade apprenticeship.
• Experience: Typically requires 1-5 years of hands-on experience as an auto electrician or mechanic.
• Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret complex wiring schematics.
• Physical & Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, the ability to work in confined or awkward spaces, and a strong commitment to workshop safety protocols.
