Maintenance Engineer

Required Maintenance Engineer for a well-known Auto Parts company in Ludhiana.

Qualification: B-Tech/BE/ Diploma in Mechanical

Location: Ludhiana

Experience: 2-6 Years

Roles and Responsibilities

Maintenance planning Periodic. Preventive & Predictive. Planning of spare parts as per maintenance scheduled.

Record of MTBF & MTTR,spare parts with 5s, Project planning’s work, commissioning of Machine with the documentation. Inspection of good machine wise on line, controlling rejection, coordinate with operator for rejection segregation.

Handling Hydro pneumatic heavy duty press, welding section, screw Hammer, Cylindrical grinder's (External / Internal & centreless grinder ) Auto loader, conveyor.

CNC ,VMC,GSM M/s.with different capacity. Paint shop. Tool room with conventional m/cs.

UTILITY Department ie. Air Compressor, Cooling Tower, water chiller unit, Broiler, Water Filter unit ,Over Head EOT cranes and different type of Pumps. Looking the maintenance of DG sets,Electricals HT /LT line maintenance.

Documentation of ISO /TS: 16949--2002 inspection. Reporting to GM/MD.

Technical & Engineering Skills

·        Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Applying structured methodologies (such as 5 Whys or Fishbone diagrams) to diagnose why equipment failed rather than just repairing the immediate symptom.

·        Predictive & Preventative Maintenance: Scheduling routine inspections, lubrication, and part replacements, alongside condition-monitoring techniques like vibration analysis, thermography, and oil sampling.

·        Electrical & Automation Competence: Interpreting wiring schematics, troubleshooting PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), sensors, drives, and instrumentation.

·        Mechanical Systems Proficiency: Hands-on knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, valves, and mechanical alignment.

·        Technical Documentation & Schematics: Reading P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), blueprints, OEM manuals, and electrical circuit diagrams.

·        CMMS Proficiency: Logging work orders, tracking MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), and managing spare parts inventory via Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo).

Safety & Compliance

·        Safety Protocols: Thorough execution of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined-space entry, permit-to-work systems, and PPE enforcement.

·        Regulatory Compliance: Adherence to local and industrial standards (such as OSHA, ISO 9001/14001/45001, or industry-specific hygiene and environmental regulations).
