Job Description
- Order Booking: Take orders, push new SKUs, and ensure target achievement for the month/quarter.
- Primary & Secondary Sales: Focus on selling to retailers. Sometimes also support primary sales to distributors.
- New Outlet Acquisition: Find and onboard new retailers in the territory.
- Stock Availability: Ensure all SKUs are available on the shelf. Check stock at retailer + distributor level.
- Merchandising: Ensure proper shelf placement, visibility, glow signs, danglers, standees.
- Stock Rotation: Check expiry dates. Follow FIFO - First In First Out. Avoid dead stock/returns.
- Competitor Tracking: Note competitor schemes, new launches, pricing, and shelf share.
- Daily Reporting: Submit DSR - Daily Sales Report with orders, collections, schemes, market feedback to Sales Manager or Operations Manager.
- Scheme Implementation: Explain company schemes to retailers and ensure they are executed properly.
- Collection: In some companies, collect payments/dues from retailers and maintain credit control.
- Training: Educate retailers on new products, benefits, and selling techniques.
- Sales Target: KG/Carton/Value targets per month
- Productivity: Calls per day, Strike rate, Average order value
