Job Description
- Accountant Assistant – Work ResponsibilitiesAccounts & Bookkeeping
- Assist in maintaining books of accounts, ledgers, and journals.
- Record daily financial transactions accurately in accounting software/Tally/Excel.
- Billing & Payments
- Prepare bills, invoices, vouchers, and payment requests.
- Assist in processing vendor payments, reimbursements, and staff advances.
- Bank & Cash Management
- Maintain cash book and petty cash records.
- Assist in bank reconciliation statements (BRS).
- Follow up on pending cheques, transfers, and bank-related matters.
- Documentation & Filing
- Maintain proper filing of bills, vouchers, contracts, and financial documents.
- Ensure supporting documents are complete and audit-ready.
- Statutory & Compliance Support
- Assist in GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory filings.
- Coordinate with auditors and consultants for compliance requirements.
- Reports & MIS
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements and MIS reports.
- Provide financial data as required by management.
- Budget & Project Support
- Assist in tracking project-wise expenses and budgets.
- Support documentation for donor-funded or grant-based projects (if applicable).
- Audit Assistance
- Assist during internal, statutory, or donor audits.
- Provide records and explanations as required by auditors.
- Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with vendors, banks, and internal departments.
- Follow up on pending bills, approvals, and payments.
