Job Summary:

The Technician - Crane Remote is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of crane remote control systems. The role requires expertise in electronics, wiring, and communication systems to ensure the efficient functioning of crane remote controls.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation & Commissioning:

• Install and configure crane remote control systems at customer sites.
• Perform wiring, testing, and calibration of remote controls.

1. Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

• Diagnose and resolve issues in crane remote control systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure minimal downtime.
• Replace or repair faulty components such as transmitters, receivers, and circuits.

1. Technical Support & Customer Interaction:

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
• Guide crane operators on the proper usage of remote controls.
• Address customer complaints and suggest solutions.

1. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain service records and reports for each task completed.
• Provide feedback to the R&D and production teams regarding recurring issues.

1. Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure adherence to industry safety standards while working with electrical components.
• Follow company policies and procedures for safe crane remote control operations.

Job Specification (JS)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years in crane remote control maintenance or related field.
• Certifications: Preferred but not mandatory (e.g., Electrical Safety Training).

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, wiring, and RF communication.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and troubleshoot electronic systems.
• Hands-on experience with remote control technology for cranes.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong communication skills for customer interaction.

Physical & Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel for on-site service and installation.
• Ability to work in industrial environments (factories, construction sites).
• Physically fit to handle equipment and perform maintenance work.
