Role Description - This is a full-time, on-site Store Incharge & Purchase role based in Kolkata. The person in this position will manage day-to-day store operations, including receiving, inspecting, and issuing materials, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring proper storage and inventory control. They will coordinate purchase activities such as identifying requirements, obtaining quotations, preparing purchase orders, and following up with suppliers for timely deliveries. The role involves monitoring stock levels, reducing losses and discrepancies, and implementing store policies that support cost efficiency and operational reliability. The Store Incharge & Purchase professional will collaborate closely with operations, accounts, and service teams to meet project timelines and customer expectations, while maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholders and vendors.


Qualifications

  • Strong customer-focused abilities, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service skills, to support internal teams and external partners effectively.
  • Clear and professional Communication skills, both verbal and written, to coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal departments.
  • Hands-on experience in Store Management, including inventory control, stock reconciliation, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention or similar loss-control practices to minimize shrinkage, errors, and wastage in the store.
  • Experience in purchasing or supply chain coordination, including vendor management and basic negotiation.
  • Proficiency with inventory and office software (e.g., Excel, ERP or store management systems) and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on-site full time in Kolkata, with strong organizational skills and the capability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, commerce, business, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in a store or purchase role in a technical or industrial environment is an advantage.


Preferred Experience

• 1–5 years of experience in Store Management, Inventory Control, Purchase, or Supply Chain functions.

• Experience in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Construction, Engineering, Industrial Equipment, or Facility Management industries will be preferred.

• Familiarity with spare parts, tools, consumables, and technical inventory management is an added advantage.

• Experience working with vendors, transporters, and procurement processes.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage inward and outward movement of materials, tools, and equipment.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely stock updates.

• Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation.

• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and raise purchase requirements proactively.

• Obtain quotations from suppliers and compare pricing, quality, and delivery schedules.

• Generate purchase orders and track order fulfillment.

• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.

• Maintain proper documentation for purchase orders, invoices, GRNs, and stock registers.

• Work closely with service and operations teams to ensure material availability for ongoing projects and maintenance activities.

• Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs and improve inventory efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory management procedures.
