About the Role

Sundarban Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Service Manager to manage service operations, plan service team mobilisation, and ensure timely execution of service requirements across installed STP, ETP, and electrochemical wastewater treatment systems.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating field service teams, planning site visits, handling customer service requirements, and ensuring smooth operation and maintenance support for SBPL’s water and wastewater treatment projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly service schedules for installed systems.
• Coordinate mobilisation of service engineers, technicians, tools, spares, and consumables to customer sites.
• Monitor service requirements for STP, ETP, EC, EO, EF, UF, dosing, pumps, panels, and related treatment systems.
• Ensure timely response to customer complaints, breakdown calls, preventive maintenance, and emergency service requirements.
• Maintain proper service records, site visit reports, complaint closure reports, and customer feedback.
• Coordinate with the operations and product design team for technical support, troubleshooting, and system improvement.
• Inform the Director – R&D about recurring technical issues, process-related observations, performance gaps, and field-level feedback.
• Ensure service team discipline, attendance, safety compliance, and quality of work at site.
• Track spare parts requirement, service consumables, and replacement materials.
• Support commissioning, handover, AMC execution, and post-installation service activities.
• Maintain customer relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Prepare monthly service performance reports and submit them to management.
• Required Skills
• Good knowledge of STP/ETP/water treatment systems.
• Understanding of pumps, dosing systems, electrical panels, filtration units, and wastewater treatment processes.
• Ability to manage service teams and field operations.
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills with customers and internal teams.
• Basic report writing and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of practical experience in the water treatment industry, preferably in service, commissioning, operation, maintenance, or project support of STP/ETP systems. The candidate should be comfortable managing field teams and handling customer service requirements independently.

Reporting Structure

The Service Manager will report directly to the Director – Operations & Product Design and will keep the Director – R&D informed regarding technical observations, process-related issues, and product improvement feedback from the field.
