Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and patient-focused Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The candidate will be responsible for collecting blood and other clinical specimens from patients while ensuring proper identification, labeling, documentation, and safe transportation of samples. The role requires adherence to infection control, biomedical waste management, and quality standards while delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities·      Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection safely and accurately.

·      Verify patient identity before sample collection.

·      Label, document, and maintain traceability of all collected specimens.

·      Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sample collection and handling.

·      Ensure proper storage and timely transportation of specimens to the laboratory.

·      Maintain infection control practices and biomedical waste disposal as per guidelines.

·      Prepare and maintain phlebotomy equipment and collection materials.

·      Provide professional, courteous, and compassionate patient care.

·      Maintain accurate records using laboratory information systems or registers.

·      Support home sample collection when assigned.

·      Coordinate with laboratory staff for timely processing of samples.

·      Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area.

·      Follow NABL/NABH quality standards and organizational policies where applicable.

Eligibility Criteria·      10+2 (Science) with DMLT / BMLT / MLT / Phlebotomy Certification.

·      Freshers with relevant training are welcome.

·      Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in diagnostic laboratories, hospitals, or collection centers will be preferred.

Required Skills·      Excellent venipuncture and blood collection skills.

·      Knowledge of specimen handling and transportation.

·      Understanding of infection control and biomedical waste management.

·      Good communication and patient-handling skills.

·      Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

·      Basic computer knowledge.

·      Ability to work in rotational shifts and under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications·      Experience in home sample collection.

·      Knowledge of Vacutainer blood collection systems.

·      Two-wheeler and valid driving license preferred for field/home collection roles.
