Academic Counselor

About the Role

Karmick Institute is seeking a passionate and result-oriented Academic Counselor to guide prospective students in choosing the right career-oriented courses and help them achieve their professional goals. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong counseling abilities, and a proven track record in admissions or educational counseling.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students regarding courses, career opportunities, and training programs.
• Understand student requirements and recommend suitable courses.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries.
• Follow up with leads and convert inquiries into admissions.
• Achieve monthly admission and revenue targets.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions in CRM.
• Coordinate with academic and operations teams to ensure a seamless admission process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with students and parents.

Required Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong counseling, persuasion, and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to understand student needs and provide appropriate guidance.
• Good knowledge of admissions and counseling processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
• Target-oriented mindset with a customer-focused approach.

Eligibility Criteria

• Graduate or Post Graduate in any discipline.
• 3–4 years of experience in Academic Counseling, Education Counseling, Admission Counseling, EdTech Sales, or Student Advisory roles.
• Experience in the Education, Training, or EdTech industry will be preferred.
• Experience in a similar industry will be preferred.
