Job SummaryWe are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Marketing Executive to promote our books and educational publications among schools, coaching centres, colleges, and educational institutions. The role involves field visits, relationship building, academic promotion, lead generation, and business development to expand our presence in the education sector.
- Key ResponsibilitiesVisit schools, coaching centres, colleges, tuition centres, and educational institutions on a regular basis.
- Meet Principals, Academic Coordinators, Teachers, Librarians, School Management, and other decision-makers.
- Present the company's publications and distribution services professionally.
- Carry and distribute sample copies of books to relevant subject teachers.
- Explain book features, syllabus relevance, content quality, and academic benefits.
- Invite schools and institutions to visit our office/showroom for book selection and academic discussions.
- Coordinate book selection meetings for upcoming academic sessions.
- Promote new publications, revised editions, and academic resources.
- Understand institution-wise requirements based on board, class, subject, and curriculum.
- Collect market feedback regarding syllabus changes, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Generate new leads and develop long-term relationships with schools and educators.
- Follow up regularly for approvals, book adoptions, orders, and repeat business.
- Identify key decision-makers and convert opportunities into successful business.
- Maintain records of school visits, teacher interactions, and follow-up activities.
- Submit daily visit reports, market intelligence reports, and activity updates.
- Coordinate with the sales, billing, dispatch, warehouse, and backend operations teams to ensure smooth execution of orders.
- Represent the company professionally and strengthen its brand presence in the education market.
- Participate in book fairs, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, teacher meetings, and educational events as required.
- Required SkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong convincing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships.
- Positive attitude with a professional personality.
- Self-motivated and target-oriented.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field visits.
- Quick learning ability regarding books, publishers, subjects, boards, and academic requirements.
- Language RequirementsProficiency in English, Hindi, and Bengali is preferred.
- Mandatory RequirementsOwn two-wheeler for field visits.
- Valid driving licence.
- Willingness to travel across assigned territories.
- Preferred QualificationsGraduate in any discipline.
- Candidate with a laptop will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Email, and reporting tools.
- Prior experience in educational sales, publishing, book distribution, school marketing, or field sales will be an added advantage.
